Who we are

Kebys is a takeaway at 3 Bowstoke Road, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5EB. We are the “data controller” for the personal information described on this page. You can reach us about anything privacy-related at kebysltd@hotmail.com or on 07821 896470.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, what you ordered, and any notes you add (for example allergy information).
When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number, a password (stored only in securely hashed form — we cannot read it), your order history and loyalty points balance.
When you pay: payment is handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers — we only see that a payment succeeded or failed, and a payment reference.
When you contact us: whatever you include in your message, plus your contact details so we can reply. The same goes for catering enquiries and reviews.
When you browse:only if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics. If you choose “Essential Only”, no analytics run at all. See our cookie policy.

Why we use it

To fulfil your order— preparing your food, taking payment, and sending you order confirmation and “ready to collect” emails (legal basis: contract).
To run your account — sign-in, order history and loyalty points (legal basis: contract).
To keep proper records — sales and payment records we are required to keep for tax and accounting (legal basis: legal obligation).
To understand how the site is used — analytics, only with your consent (legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time on the cookies page).

We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails you haven’t agreed to.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the shop, and only what they need to do their job:

Stripe — processes your card payment. See the Stripe privacy policy.
Resend — delivers our order and service emails to you.
Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Our website hosting provider — the servers this site and its database run on.

We would also share information where the law requires it (for example with HMRC or the police under a valid request).

How long we keep it

Order and payment records: kept for as long as UK tax and accounting rules require (normally six years).
Account details: kept while your account is open. Ask us and we will delete your account and anything we are not legally required to keep.
Enquiries: kept only as long as needed to deal with them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you can ask us:

for a copy of the information we hold about you;
to correct anything that is wrong;
to delete your information (where we don’t have to keep it by law);
to limit or object to how we use it;
to withdraw consent at any time, where consent is what we rely on.
