Allergies or intolerances? Tell us before you order. Call us on 07821 896470, write it in the order notes box at checkout, or speak to the team when you collect. We’ll talk you through what’s in any dish.
How to get allergen information
- Before you order online: call us on 07821 896470and we’ll tell you which of the 14 regulated allergens a dish contains.
- When you order online:always mention your allergy in the order notes at checkout, even if you’ve told us before.
- In the shop: ask any member of the team — allergen information is available at collection.
The 14 regulated allergens
UK food law requires information on these 14 allergens:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (such as wheat, rye, barley and oats)
- Crustaceans (such as prawns and crabs)
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs (such as mussels and squid)
- Mustard
- Peanuts
- Sesame
- Soybeans
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites
- Tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts and cashews)
Cross-contamination
Ours is a small, busy kitchen that handles many of these allergens — including flour (gluten), milk, egg, sesame and mustard — using shared preparation areas, fryers and grills. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of any allergen, even where it isn’t an intended ingredient.
If your allergy is severe, please call us before ordering so we can talk honestly about whether we can cater for you safely.
A few things to remember
- Menu descriptions don’t list every ingredient — always ask rather than assume.
- Recipes and suppliers can change, so check with us each time you order, even for a dish you’ve had before.
- “Vegetarian” or “vegan” labels describe the recipe, not an allergen-free guarantee.
